Health Policy Commission Announces New Behavioral Health Workforce Center

New HPC research hub will identify challenges and policy opportunities to strengthen and diversify behavioral health workforce

BOSTON — The Massachusetts Health Policy Commission (HPC) has launched a new Behavioral Health Workforce Center, established in partnership with the Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS), to strengthen the Commonwealth’s capacity to identify and respond to ongoing behavioral health workforce needs.

HPC Statement on the Proposed Sale of Steward’s Physician Network to Rural Healthcare Group

BOSTON — The HPC has not yet received notice relating to Rural Healthcare Group’s (RHG) proposed acquisition of Steward Medical Group and Steward Health Care Network but expects to receive notice and review this proposed transaction.

Statement From HPC on Notices of Material Change Regarding Stewardship/Rural Healthcare Group

The HPC received Notices of Material Change (MCN) last night regarding the proposed sale of Stewardship Health, Inc., the parent of Stewardship Health Medical Group, Inc., which employs primary care physicians and other clinicians across nine states, and Steward Health Care Network, Inc., a contracting network, to Rural Healthcare Group, through its affiliate Brady Health Buyer, LLC.
